ABOUT

What’s up! I’m Jonothan Michal Dashiell, but you can call me Jon or Marlee, depending on whether you’re listening to my music or looking at my photography. I wear a lot of hats—musician, filmmaker, photographer, fashion enthusiast. You know, the usual for someone who can’t decide on just one thing.

As Marlee I make music that reflects my soul. It’s about love, heartbreak, me not knowing where in the world I’m going, and then, suddenly, I think I know. It’s braggadocious, but then, wait, it’s modest again. Sometimes it’s happy, sometimes it’s sad. It’s very human, and very all over the place—because life is all over the place, and that’s exactly what I want to capture. Oh, and it’s a mix of hip-hop, soul, and whatever genre I feel like messing with that day.

When I’m not making noise, I’m behind the camera, capturing moments that blur the line between reality and fiction. I create short films and visuals that exaggerate or reimagine the world around us—taking what’s real and stretching it into something more cinematic.

Then there’s Circumstance—my fashion line. Honestly, I’m pretty basic. I don’t need a whole bunch of crazy colors or loud designs. Like a weighted blanket, my clothes are made to put you at ease. They’re low-key, relaxed, and give you the kind of comfort that makes you feel confident and noticed—without the need to scream for attention.

So yeah, that’s me. I’m just here, making stuff because I can’t stop, and hoping some of it resonates with you along the way. Welcome to my world.
